In an effort to recognize the significance of the NCBAA Leadership Development Institute, the impact of this program on the lives and careers of those that benefit from the experience, and to recognize the spirit and foresight of the woman largely responsible for the success of the institute, the 2007 NCBAA Scholars, established the Dr. Marian C. Shivers Scholarship.

Univ of Penn PhD Prep Program for Black Males
The University of Pennsylvania is launching an 18-month Academy here at focused on preparing Black males for admission to Ph.D. programs in education immediately upon completion of their undergraduate studies.
They will begin the Academy this fall with 10 Black males who are in their junior year of college. Check it out here:
